Bye, bye New York Fashion Week. Yesterday curtain has closed on the Big Apple Fashion Shows Fall-Winter 2014-2015 and, while I’m moving to the next one in London here I’m with my first “Best of”.

Let’s start with Calvin Klein which shows a modern woman. Comfort and simplicity are her values in fashion. This means oversized clothes, sweaters, long  coats and low heeled boots. Calvin Klein woman is self confident: she’s beautiful whatever she wears without bleeding for cold (and New York could be freezing) or suffer for foot ache.

Same feeling for Michael Kors. Big big sweaters and scarfs but things change for evening dress. Michael Kors woman turn into a hippie chic figure who doesn’t mind embroidered clothing and sensual voile. The other side of the moon, the other side of us.

This aspect reminds me of Ralph Lauren collection: total white dressed models wear tennis shoes. Oh yes, my dears! But at night, Ralph Lauren woman is an urban sensual mermaid, precious clothing and sinuous lines.

What about Diane von Furstenberg? She’s ready to paint winter with colour: red, blu, flowers. This is what a bohémien glam woman needs according to the stylist. To notice: New York Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2014-2015 celebrated an important anniversary: Diane wrap dress is 40!

Last but not least, Desigual. Second time in New York for the european brand which is getting more and more appreciation in the Us. It couldn’t be a coincidence that the new testimonial is Candice Swanepole, a Victoria’s secret’s model, and we’ll hear more about the spanish maison. No change in style (colour, flowers, bright details on sheath dress and wollen coat) but what I like most is that Desigual collection always inject positive feelings. We really need it.
